Art exhibition

Maidstone artist Judith Leuenberger will display her artworks at the Louis Joel Arts and Community Centre in Altona next month. Leuenberger’s exhibition, Landscapes of Light, will have 50 drawings and paintings depicting landscapes, including the Yorkshire moors, and the effect of light on landscapes throughout a day. The exhibition opens on August 1.

Learn T-shirt printing

Are you 14 to 20, living in the west and wanting to learn T-shirt design and screen-printing? Free sessions will be held at Woods Street Arts Space, 44 Woods Street, Laverton, from 2-5pm every second Saturday until November 29. Free food and drinks provided.

Rock on

Maribyrnong council’s FReeZA committee is bringing another all-ages punk rock spectacular to Footscray. The Rise of Brotality tour, featuring I Killed The Prom Queen, The Ghost Inside, In Hearts Wake, Bury Tomorrow and Hellions, will be staged at Phoenix Youth Centre on September 20.

Jumping jazz

Every Sunday in July, Benny and the Dukes will bring serious fun and infectious jazz pop sounds to the Bar of Bengal at Kindred Studios, Yarraville. Known for their explosive live shows, they will be supported from 4-7pm on July 13 by Jungle Crooks and The Sand Dollars.
