Oak Park, Broadmeadows men held over assault after Comancheros raids

Two men – one from Oak Park and the other from Broadmeadows – were arrested over an alleged serious assault during raids on Melbourne clubhouses and homes linked to the Comancheros bikie gang.

Police from the anti-bikie Echo taskforce executed four warrants, raiding clubhouses in South Melbourne and Williamstown, and homes in Broadmeadows and Oak Park at 7am on Thursday.

A 23-year-old Oak Park man and a 24-year-old from Broadmeadows man are in custody and are being interviewed in relation to an alleged assault at a business in Johnston Street, Collingwood, last Monday.

A Docklands man, 29, who is linked to the Coancheros, was allegedly assaulted.
