New Star lights up the west

Dear readers,

Welcome to the very first edition of the

Maribyrnong & Hobsons Bay Star Weekly.

The Maribyrnong & Hobsons Bay Star Weekly is one of six new titles being published in Melbourne’s western and northern suburbs by MMP Star, a joint venture between Metro Media Publishing and Star News Group.

MMP Star will also publish the

Melton & Moorabool Star Weekly, Northern Star Weekly, Wyndham Star Weekly, Sunbury & Macedon Ranges Star Weekly, and the Brimbank & North West Star Weekly. Total circulation for the six publications is more than 310,000.

The merging of MMP and Star’s news- papers will create the best publication in each market, featuring exceptional, engaging journalism and a compelling environment for our advertisers.

It is our ambition that your Star Weekly paper will play a major part in the social, political, economic and sporting life of Melbourne’s western and northern suburbs, an ambition reflected in our positioning: “Your community, your voice”.

We’d love to hear your feedback on our new newspaper. If you have any comments or thoughts, send an email to feedback@starweekly.com.au. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy your new

Maribyrnong & Hobsons Bay Star Weekly.
