Williamstown North Primary School students show science skills

Williamstown North Primary School last Thursday held a science fair to celebrate Education Week.

Parents and family members joined pupils in class to conduct experiments and other scientific endeavours.

The week gave students a chance to show parents what they had learned and an insight into what a career in science might entail.

Education Minister Martin Dixon said science held the key to many industries and services, including agriculture, manufacturing, building and construction, technology, research and education, and health.

The school’s other activities during the week included ‘buddy grades’ where pupils made paper aeroplanes together and a cultural Japanese day.
