CANNOLI SECRET

Footscray-born and bred, Tony Cavallaro is credited with creating the best cannoli in Melbourne. In a talk at the Footscray Historical Society, he will share stories about his family, his business, his community and changes to Footscray through the decades.

■ The free talk is at 2pm on Sunday, May 18, at Ercildoune, 66 Napier Street, Footscray.

EXHIBITION

Reflections, an exhibition of drawings, paintings, images and abstracts by Werribee-based Stuart Hames, will be launched at Altona’s Joel Gallery,  5 Sargood Street from 7pm on Friday. An exhibition by five local women, Lasting Impressions 2014, is also due to open soon – at 7pm on May 16.
