The State Trustees has marked 12 months in Footscray with an official launch by Victorian Treasurer Tim Pallas.

The organisation officially opened its new headquarters at 1 McNab Avenue recently, celebrating the successful relocation of 250 employees from Exhibition Street to Footscray.

Chief executive Craig Dent said the move has brought State Trustees closer to clients in Melbourne’s western growth corridor and helped transform the organisation into a world-leadingtrustee organisation.

“It feels like a lifetime, it’s been terrific being out at Footscray for a number of reasons.”

Mr Dent praised the state-of-the-art building and said staff have enjoyed interacting with the Footscray community.

He said the influx of staff has helped reinvigorate the lower end of Nicholson Street.

The new location also brings State Trustees closer to its clients, allowing more face-to-face interaction.

Mr Dent said the relocation to Footscray represents the final piece in the State Trustees regionalisation strategy, which also saw the establishment of regional offices in Dandenong and Bendigo.

The organisation has already established partnerships with Victoria University and hopes to build new relationships with other organisations such as cohealth.
