The psychological drama of a disaster at sea is being brought to life this month by Williamstown Little Theatre.
An absorbing drama set during World War II, Morning Departure, by Kenneth Woollard, is the story of a submarine in peril.
A British submarine on a routine exercise off the British coast
runs into a floating mine, sinking, with the 12 men left alive in
watertight compartments.
The suspense revolves around the testing of the mental and moral character of the men as they await rescue.
Directed by Gaetano Santo, this is the first time the popular wartime play has been produced in Australia.
Morning Departure season runs 8.15pm Tuesday-Saturday and 5pm Sunday until September 21.
