Community groups will share at least $10,000 as part of the Seddon Community Bank branch’s new Community Pitch.
The Seddon branch of the Bendigo Bank is teaming with local businesses to provide a ‘pledge fund’ prize pool, chipping in $6000 to kick things off.
Interested inner-west community groups are being invited to fill in application forms and attend the Community Pitch event on April 21 when they can make their three-minute pitch for funding.
Branch manager Graham Evans said the campaign was a unique opportunity for local not-for-profit community groups to secure funding for a specific program or project.
“It will be fun and, potentially, an easy way to make some fast cash for your group,” he said. “This is a fantastic opportunity to introduce yourselves to local businesses that have the potential to provide ongoing support and to meet other local community groups.”
Groups must register their pitch online by April 14.
Local businesses are also being sought to chip in funding and become founding Community Pitch investors.
The Community Pitch will take place at 7.30pm, Tuesday, April 21, at the Yarraville Club, 135 Stephen Street, Yarraville.
