Let Brooklyn breathe

Having lived in Williamstown for the past 17 years, I am
dumbfounded that the people of Brooklyn still
have to tolerate atrocious air pollution levels.

While the sealing of two of the roads is welcome, if long
overdue, why has the EPA been such a toothless tiger over the years?  ‘100 days of dust levels equivalent to the Black Saturday bushfires’?
(WHO warns that 5 days a year is the maximum that should be tolerated).

I may be mistaken but i think i read that the local primary
school has an air monitoring device and that on some days children have to be
kept inside. Really?

I wonder what Brooklyn residents must think when fellow Melburnians boast that we live in one of the
most liveable cities on the planet. Enough is enough.
