AFL: Libba junior makes it 50 for Bulldogs

TOM Liberatore, one of the most talented youngsters at the Western Bulldogs, will notch up his 50th AFL game at Etihad Stadium on Sunday, playing against the West Coast Eagles.

At 21, Liberatore is already the contested ball king at the kennel, and he compares favourably across the competition in clearances (first), contested possessions (fourth) and tackles (11th).

‘‘Libba’’, who arrived at the Whitten Oval under the father-son rule from the Calder Cannons in 2010, plays in a similar style to that of his dad, Tony, who played 283 games for the Bulldogs from 1986-2002 and won the 1990 Brownlow Medal.
