Man’s body found at Altona beach

THE body of a man who apparently drowned was found at Altona beach this morning.

It is believed fishermen spotted the man’s body near Altona Pier about 8.30am.

It is believed the death was a suicide.

The name of the man, who was aged 34, has not been released.

Water Police removed the body at 10am.

Police are preparing a report for the coroner.
