WESTERN Bulldogs star Ryan Griffen joined people with a disability from annecto Yarraville last week to create the match day banner for Sunday’s clash with Collingwood.
The banners of both clubs featured a “Footy fans support equality and inclusion for people of all abilities” message to mark the inaugural Robert Rose Cup.
Supported by law firm Slater & Gordon, the annual fixture highlights the contribution of people with a disability to the game and community.
Griffen said: “Nothing symbolises the coming together of footy and community more than the tradition of making the match day banner. The boys and I are really looking forward to running out on the day and are proud to be associated with the match that recognises the achievements of people with a disability.”
