AFL: Will Minson in All-Australian form

WILL Minson has been in outstanding form for the Western Bulldogs in the AFL. Some are saying the big man is on track for All-Australian honours after 10 rounds – no surprise, with Minson playing such a crucial role as a lone ruckman for the Dogs.

His physical presence was important in the Bulldogs’ come-from-behind nine-point win over Port Adelaide in Darwin on Saturday night.

Minson collected a massive 57 hit outs and 13 disposals, capping a sensational performance with a goal. The 28-year-old leads the competition in hit outs with 417 at an average of 41.7 a game.

The young Bulldogs have hit some good form, largely on the back of Ryan Griffen’s impact in the midfield.

Griffen had 40 touches and laid nine tackles in a best-on-ground display against the Power.

Veteran Daniel Giansiracusa booted 2.2 in the super sub role.

The Bulldogs have won their past two matches and have a bye this round.
