EXPECT colourful costumed canine capers this Saturday as the Doggy Fashion Parade celebrates its 14th year at the Yarraville Festival.
Comedian and media personality Dave O’Neill returns to host the event, organised by the Yarraville Village Animal Hospital.
Jessica Huggins of Hound Hugs designer wear, Christie Reeves of Hairy Hounds and Gaysha, organiser of the Midsumma Miss Gay/Transsexual competition will be special guest judges.
“Organising and judging a dog fashion parade cannot be harder than a Miss Australia contest,” Gaysha said.
Yarraville veterinarian Rhonda Dunmill said people loved the chance to dress their pets in costume. The parade starts at 12.30pm with prizes awarded to the three best entries. Enter on the day or book with Rhonda on 9689 8100 or rhondadunmill@optusnet.com.au
