Showcase for unsigned bands
Unsigned bands or musicians from Melbourne’s west have a chance to be part of a showcase musical event on December 15. As part of Footscray Community Arts Centre’s partnership with St Jerome’s Laneway Festival, The Very West offers the best local, unsigned musician or band a slot at the festival in Footscray in February. Townhouse sets record price
A residential property record of $1.56 million was set in Yarraville at the weekend. A five-year-old, split-level townhouse in Castlemaine Street beat the suburb’s previous record, set in July, by $500,000, fetching $230,000 over its reserve.
‘Be prepared’ to apply for funds
