A TOUCH of London’s West End will be found in Footscray’s east end when The Best of London Off Cuts is launched on Thursday.
In Company Theatre Australia trawled through the 1000 plays submitted to the annual Off Cut Festival in London and is set to present the finest half dozen to Footscray audiences.
For five performances, the team of talented actors and directors will present six 15-minute plays never before seen in this country.
Artistic director Trudi Boatwright says the festival has built a large wave of support since its launch in 2009.
“Combining fine plays and superb talent makes for a magical night out and we are excited to bring these excellent pieces to Australian audiences for the first time.”
The Best of London Off Cuts is staged at the Bluestone Church Arts Space, 10a Hyde Street, Footscray. Shows are Thursday-Saturday from 7.30pm, with matinee shows at 3pm on Saturday-Sunday. Tickets: $20 adults, $18 concession.
