A FOOTSCRAY engineer will run 10 kilometres with a bucket of water to raise money for Engineers Without Borders Australia as part of this Sunday’s Run Melbourne.
Dan A’Vard, an environmental consultant at Sustainable Resource Use, will carry the water to highlight the estimated 1.1 billion people worldwide who live more than a kilometre from their water source.
“This is not a hard problem to solve, provided people know about it and are willing to do something to change the situation,” he said.
