Yarraville man charged with shrine offences

POLICE have charged a Yarraville man with putting out the Shrine of Remembrance eternal flame in May.

The 36-year-old was charged with theft, criminal damage, behaving in an offensive manner and a number of offences under shrine regulations over two separate incidents on May 25 and last November.

He was bailed to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on September 19.
