ALEX Woon is lapping up his newfound fame as a star in the latest exhibition at Footscray Community Arts Centre (FCAC).
The 95-year-old joined Thursday’s launch of A Place For Us: Portraits of Wintringham People, where he again met photographer Morganna Magee, who captured his portraits for the show.
The exhibition is the culmination of a 12-month project in which photographers Magee, Phil Wright and Alan Attwood spent time with 12 residents of aged-care provider Wintringham.
The not-for-profit service is a home for seniors at risk of homelessness.
The free exhibition is at the Roslyn Smorgon Gallery at the FCAC until June 24.
