VNL: Lightning strikes with convincing second consecutive win

VU-Western Lightning is firing on the back of consecutive Victorian Netball League victories.

The Lightning put Ballarat Pride to the sword in a 54-39 win at the State Netball and Hockey Centre last Wednesday night with goaler Melissa McCauley hitting 39-of-45 attempts.

City West Falcons, meanwhile, rebounded from their local derby loss to Lightning with an emphatic 62-44 win over the North East Blaze at SNHC on the back of Kathleen Knott’s shooting master class with 44-from-55 chances.
