FFV: Hoppers Crossing no match for Glory

YARRAVILLE Glory blasted lower-league Hoppers Crossing to smithereens in a Football Federation Victoria pre-season friendly on Saturday.

The Glory, coached by Charlie Egan, displayed a killer instinct in front of goal in a 6-1 victory. The scoreline was a tad closer in the annual Macedonian Cup final grand final with a youth-driven Altona Magic edging out traditional rivals Preston Lions 1-0. Williamstown was bundled out of the FFV State Knockout Cup with a shock 5-3 defeat by Melton Phoenix, a team from the bottom of the provisional leagues.
