ALTONA Lady Gators are bursting with confidence ahead of this weekend’s Victorian Basketball League Big V women’s division 1 season opener against Craigieburn on the road on Sunday.
The undefeated Gators were victorious 52-35 over Geelong in the division 1 pre-season tournament grand
final at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre on Labour Day.
The men’s team made it all the way to the final, but lost 69-60 to McKinnon.
The Randy Shanklin-coached outfit will have to regroup for a season-opening double-header weekend against arch rivals Werribee Devils away on Saturday night and Camberwell at home on Sunday.
