Premier Cricket: Bulldogs all over the place

IT was a summer of contrasts for Footscray Edgewater in Victorian Premier Cricket. A middle-bracket finish on the ladder underlined their inconsistencies.

The Bulldogs, bowled out for 164 chasing 237 in a one-day game on Saturday, finished the season with a disappointing 72-run loss to second-last Melbourne University at the University Main Oval.

The Doggies will at least have one team in the finals with their second XI to host Dandenong in a two-day quarter final at Merv Hughes Oval this weekend.
