Hip-hop hooray as Seddon gets taste of Bollywood in award-winning dance program

A Bollywood-flavoured program aimed at culturally diverse communities has earned its Seddon founder a statewide award.

PoisE’n Bollypop has received a Multicultural Award for Excellence 2012 from the state government for its work with students from across a broad range of Melbourne’s communities.

Using Bollywood and hip-hop dance, the program brings together people from all walks of life.

Founder and head choreographer Gary Lee (pictured) is no stranger to the awards, gaining recognition in 2010 for his work as founder of hip-hop group, PoisE’n, and other contributions to creating a welcoming environment for international students.
