Graffiti artists like Amy Redmond (pictured) are being recruited under the Street SmART project at Laverton, with workshops happening every second Saturday at the Woods Street Arts Space. Organiser Katherine Dine said people aged 15-25 who were interested in street art and spray painting were being sought. “We have some very exciting projects happening this year, including the Portawall project and the 500 Cans Project. Portawall has our young artists create a giant puzzle wall which will be exhibited at the new Woods Street Arts Space at the end of the year.” The 500 Cans Project involves young artists painting three prominent walls in Laverton.” Details: 0423089303 or katherine@katherinedine.com.au
