THE west will have two teams to support in the Victorian Netball League championship division finals series, starting on Wednesday night.
VU-Western Lightning has joined local rivals City West Falcons in the final four after a hard-fought 44-37 win over Yarra Valley Grammar Ariels on the last night of the home and away season at the State Netball and Hockey Centre on Wednesday. The top-ranked Falcons renew their rivalry with Monash University Central in week one of the finals, with the winner to advance directly to the grand final.
The Lightning has a tricky match-up with Peninsula Waves in the bottom half of the four, with the loser eliminated from the finals.
Both games start at 9.40pm.
