Gallery: Gun salute, Hobsons Bay Yacht Club

A gun salute marked the 125th anniversary celebrations of Hobsons Bay Yacht Club on Saturday.

The 19th century canon was originally installed at Fort Gellibrand to guard Victoria against a perceived Russian threat. It was last fired 25 years ago to celebrate the arrival of tall ships in Williamstown.

The club is the oldest of its kind continuously operating at its original site.
