Khloé Kardashian will be hoping to put relationship storms to one side as she visits Maribyrnong later this month.
The American television personality, socialite and fashion designer’s only Melbourne appearance will be at Highpoint Shopping Centre to celebrate the recent launch of Kardashian Kollection fashion wear and a new shoe range.
Speaking to the Weekly ahead of the visit, sisters Khloé and Kim Kardashian said their foray into fashion with sister Kourtney has been a lot of fun.
“It has been so phenomenal and it has been so overwhelming to see it go so well in Australia,” Khloé said.
Last in Australia in November 2011 to launch the Kardashian Kollection handbag, she is looking forward to her first Melbourne visit.
“I’m just so excited, Australia is one of my favourite places and I will have a TV crew with me.”
Kim won’t be joining the trip, still celebrating the June birth of daughter North West with now fiancé rapper Kanye West.
She has high hopes for the sisters making a splash with their new shoes, launching this month.
“We are getting great feedback from our apparel and denim and our handbags are all going really well,” she said.
“I’m very excited about the shoe collection, they are really cute. We are creating shoes that you can wear to the office during the day then out at night.”
Khloé said despite their whirlwind lives the sisters still find time to get together to work on ideas for the fashion range.
“It starts from the inspiration, it might be from wallpaper or prints we see or even an architectural building, certain silhouettes. We have design meetings every few weeks between us three sisters. Every season I fee we are just getting better and better overall.”
Kim said each has their own ideas and styles but the mix ultimately succeeds.
“You would think with the three of us all having strong opinions it may not work but it actually works really well.”
Khloé has a soft spot for the collection’s harem pants while Kim’s favourite piece is a “naughty and nice” bodice dress.
Khloé said she is looking forward to meeting fans of their fashion when she visits Highpoint.
“I love to hear from people who wear our clothes, the feedback we get is great,” she said.
“One of the powers of social media is that they can keep in touch and let us know what they think, but it’s great to meet with them like this as well. It’s just so inspiring to see how they are embracing the collection.”
The first 200 people who purchase the Kardashian Kollection between November 16 and 20 can meet with Khloé from 1-3pm Wednesday, November 20, outside David Jones on Level 2.
