Clubs that are not part of the newly established National Premier League Victoria were given an indication of the state league structure last week.
There will be a significant Hobsons Bay derby in state league 1 north-west with Altona Magic and Altona East Phoenix rekindling their rivalry.
Altona City and Yarraville Glory will be in SL2NW, Williamstown is in SL3NW, while Altona North, Laverton Park, Maribyrnong Greens and Melbourne City are all in SL4NW.
