Sunbury was firing on all cylinders in Bowls Victoria’s pennant division 2, section 2 on Saturday.

Sunbury won three of its rinks over Glenroy convincingly and took the points in the fourth to win the match 84 (18)-47 (0).

Deeon Dean’s rink was again the standout, winning 23-6.

Elise Cowan triumphed 20-11, Carla Odgers clinched her rink 22-14, and Mark Cowan got home 19-16 in the only close one.

Sunbury’s Dave Glennon said the win was easier than he and his teammates expected.

“We thought it would be a bit tricky, but we got the win comfortably having carried on the momentum from last week,” he said.

In Central Highlands Bowls, there were four one-sided results.

Gisborne, Bacchus Marsh and Lancefield all won 18-0 against Woodend, Kyneton Golf Blue and Romsey respectively.

In the other match, Kyneton Golf Gold defeated Kyneton 106 (14)-84 (4).

After two rounds, Gisborne, Lancefield and Kyneton Golf Gold are unbeaten.
