More than 20 artists and galleries will fling open their doors next weekend as part of Open Studios in the West.
Now in its eighth year, the Open Studios weekend is a chance to take a look behind the scenes at how and where art happens in and around Footscray.
From 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday, November 28-29, visitors can check out artist studios across the inner west, ranging from back sheds or lounge rooms to gallery studios and warehouses.
Participating artists and studios include BiGfiSh Workshop, The Art Room, Women’s Circus, Waterside Metal Art Studio, Post Industrial Design, Trocadero Art Space and SDKineticStudios.
The weekend – held in conjunction with the Big West Festival – includes free demonstrations, talks and workshops and a chance to buy works directly from the artists.
