Scouts’ open day

1st Laverton Scout Group will have an open day from 10am-4pm on Saturday, October 8, at its base in Railway Parade, Laverton. Activities will include cooking damper, tying rope knots, basic first aid, a jumping castle and sausage sizzle.

Home history

Footscray Historical Society is offering free workshops for History Week in October. The first session is for Footscray, West Footscray and Tottenham residents, 1.30-4pm on October 22. The second session is for Yarraville, Kingsville and Seddon residents from 1.30-4pm on October 23, at Ercildoune, 66 Napier Street, Footscray. Register early.
