Footscray Lions Club

The Footscray Lions Club’s major fundraiser is coming up, featuring special guests Professor Michael R. Ibbotson, of the National Vision Research Institute of Australia, and comedian Diana Nguyen. The topic will be The Bionic Eye: Looking Into The Future, and the event includes a five- course Vietnamese dinner, auctions and raffle. October 21, from 6.30pm. Footscray Historical Society is offering free workshops for History Week in October. The first session is for Footscray, West Footscray and Tottenham residents, 1.30-4pm on October 22. The second session is for Yarraville, Kingsville and Seddon residents from 1.30-4pm on October 23. Register early.
