Skate art
Artist Brett Ashby will focus on stencil and paste-up creations at his free workshops for young people, which will culminate in public art pieces at Yarraville Skate Park. The workshops for people 12-25 years old will be at Phoenix Youth Centre, 72 Buckley Street, 4.30-5.30pm Thursdays, and a paint day from 2pm Saturday, August 29.

Car boot sale
Hobsons Bay Men’s Shed hosts a car boot sale, 10am-3pm Saturday, at 280 Queen Street, Altona (old EPA building). Sites $10, entry free, sausage sizzle on the day.
