Don’t miss the plains down in Werribee Zoo

Young explorers will come face to face with lions, rhinos, giraffes and hippos on a safari tour through Werribee Open Range Zoo.

An African-themed adventure is part of the zoo’s spring program, which runs from September 19 until December 18.

Children will be issued an official zoo passport upon arrival and can choose their own trail, marking off the animals they see along the way by collecting stamps at various checkpoints.

Keeper Talks run during the tours, and the new Bush Babies Safari Trail is also open. Visitors can also help save the critically endangered Grevy’s zebra through a community program, based in Kenya and called Beads for Wildlife.
