A group of performers is taking a leap of faith in Footscray with a new production for the Fringe Festival.

Echo Collective’s Leap, directed by Joana Pires, is an interactive performance in which audience members’ real-life experiences are adapted into theatre on the spot. Stories will be collected and the Echo Collective actors will play them back using drama, movement and music.

Winner of the 2014 Maribyrnong Inclusive Recognition Award for best inclusive art group, Echo Collective is led by young actors, directors, filmmakers, musicians and performers with disabilities.

Leap will be produced by Arts Access Victoria in partnership with Maribyrnong council.

Performances will be staged at the Bluestone Church Arts Space, 10A Hyde Street, from 7.30pm on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets $15/10.
