Young people looking to make a name in the music business have a chance to rub shoulders with industry insiders in Footscray next week.
Music industry experts, innovative workshops, a panel discussion and a closing jam session are all on the line-up for the Talk The Talk music industry conference for young people in Melbourne’s west.
The event, to be held at the newly reopened Phoenix Youth Hub, will give young people wanting work as musicians, or behind the scenes in the music business, opportunities to hear from presenters, including hip hop artist and Rolling Stone award winner REMi, Mushroom Group label manager Blaise Sherrie, artist manager Nathan Flagrant and Sony A&R manager Adam Booth.
Local hip hop group Raw Elements will be leading some of the workshops and participating on the day.
The free conference will be held from 1-5pm Tuesday, July 5, with lunch included.
Numbers limited, so register by Monday via www.eventbrite.com.au/e/25470238168
