Engineers, scientists and educators at Victoria University are making a splash in the art world, finding inventive ways to merge art and science.

Skunk Control, a group from the College of Engineering and Science, is bringing back childhood’s wonderment at the world around them.

Founder Nick Athanasiou says the group has been engaging the community in learning which “rethinks” science and engineering.

“Those disciplines are similar to art; they prompt you to ask questions,” he says.

Skunk Control is involved in nine upcoming public art projects in Melbourne between now and December.

Its art installation Majestic Insurgence is at Highpoint until Sunday, while Systemic Sanctions is part of the Gertrude Street Projection Festival 2016.
