West Footscray will be ablaze with colour this Saturday as residents and visitors celebrate the food, dance and colours of the community.
They’ll be invited to join in the traditional “throwing of the colours” in a celebration of Holi, the Hindu festival of colours.
And there will be craft activities, henna tattoos, dress-ups, a sausage sizzle and food and market stalls, along with a jumping castle, face-painting, bilingual story times and live music.
The West Footscray Festival of Food, Dance and Colours will be held on the corner of Barkly and Clarke streets from 10am to 2pm, Saturday, March 19.
