Yarraville comedian skewers morning TV

Yarraville comedian Zoe McDonald is set to skewer morning television in her latest show for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

After sell-out seasons at the Adelaide Fringe Festival and Melbourne Fringe with her award-winning work FOMO: The Fear of Missing Out, McDonald returns to the stage with Good Morning Mofo.

From Hollywood gossip to Youtube stars and kitten videos, McDonald’s cocktail of characters brings to life a little slice of that studio-generated sunshine.

“I grew up on a diet of Australian and British sketch comedy, especially the likes of

Big Girls Blouse and the Catherine Tate Show, all which gave rise to a unique female voice,” she said.

“My fascination and joy comes from exploring characters, accents and observations … with this new work we want to create an ecstatic experience for audiences.”

McDonald will perform

Good Morning Mofo at The Coopers Malthouse, 8.30pm nightly (7.30pm Sundays) from March 24 to April 17, excluding Mondays. Tickets: $15-$25. Bookings: 9685 5111 or www.thecoopersmalthouse.com.au
