Man sought after girl assaulted on Williamstown bus

Crime Stoppers is appealing to the community to help identify a man who indecently assaulted a teenage girl on a bus at Williamstown on Wednesday, June 5.

The girl was assaulted by a frail-looking man after boarding a bus in Douglas Parade just after 1pm.

The man, believed to be in his late 50s or 60s, sat next to her and started up a conversation.

Police say he then started to stroke the girl’s leg and put his hand up her skirt.

She told him to stop and reported the crime to the bus driver.

Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to over the incident.

He is described as Caucasian, with a frail build and receding hairline, and had a blotchy pale complexion.
