Families came together in Maribyrnong last Wednesday to celebrate National Playgroup Week with a council-hosted Picnic in the Park.
Coulson Gardens was the scene for free activities including African drumming, face-painting, a storytime and music, a visit by a dental van, giveaways and massages for parents.
Among those who made the most of the day was Tia, 3. National Playgroup Week celebrated the 25,000 families and 40,000 children in Victoria who use playgroups each year.
