A 21-year-old woman charged with stabbing a man to death in Yarraville was withdrawing from the powerful drug ice, a court has heard.
Brittany Johnstone was charged with murder after police found the body of a Werribee man, 30, in a townhouse in Yarraville on Sunday night.
Homicide detectives and paramedics rushed to the Blackwood Street house after reports a man had been stabbed.
Ms Johnstone was arrested, and later charged with murder.
She faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon.
Lawyers for Ms Johnstone told the court she was being treated for depression, anxiety and was withdrawing from ice.
She has been remanded to return to court on July 28.
