Braybrook College students ready to hit the road

The road safety message is all locked up at Braybrook College.

The college has received a $500 Rebel Sport voucher for its support of Keys Please, a free program offering practical ideas for students during their learn-to-drive period.

VicRoads regional director Patricia Liew said the program was offered to all Victorian secondary schools and reached almost 50,000 students over the past 12 months. Keys Please emphasises the value of early learning and obtaining at least 120 hours of supervised driving experience in a range of conditions.

“I’d like to congratulate Braybrook College for their commitment to road safety and to the safety of their students,” Ms Liew said.

“Braybrook College recently hosted Keys Please sessions for 155 year 10 students and in doing so, assisted in delivering a very important road safety message to our youth.” Braybrook College year 10 co-ordinator Helen Gerraty said students were grateful for the chance to participate.

“Many of our students will be faced with challenging driving situations when they obtain their learner permits, so it’s essential we provide them with the tools to approach driving in a safe and mindful way.”
