Altona Bay: 3 fishermen saved by Water Police

Three fishermen have been plucked from Altona Bay after their boat collided with a commercial fishing vessel on Friday morning.

The three were thrown overboard after their boat hit the larger vessel about two kilometres off Altona, shortly after 6am. One man suffered an arm injury, but the others were not hurt.

The trio was rescued by Water Police and their boat towed to Williamstown.

Police are speaking to the fishermen to determine what happened.
