Victoria University is hosting a free family science show at its Footscray Park campus next Wednesday.
The show will be broken up into two parts, starting with a ‘Professor Science Troupe’ creating explosions and experiments for families during a 70-minute show, followed by interactive activities showing how exciting science can be.
Victoria University foundation studies lecturer Nick Athanasiou said the annual event drew a wide range of people seeking to be intrigued by science.
“It’s open for everyone to enjoy; we want people to be inspired by what they see and we want to evoke the desire and idea of looking and being willing to find new things,” he said.
The Professor Science Troupe visits schools demonstrating more spectacular elements of science to create an ongoing interest in the subject.
It’s been demonstrating and promoting at schools around the state for seven years.
Join in the fun from 6-8pm in Building L, room L144 at the Footscray Park campus on December 3.
