A man suffered significant burns after a tractor fire sparked a grass fire behind the old Bunnings store in Altona North on Thursday.
The fire started about 3pm to the rear and side of the Millers Road building.
Fifteen firefighters battled the blaze, which took 10 minutes to bring under control.
A man in his 30s was treated for burns and taken to The Alfred hospital in a serious condition.
