A Laverton man is in hospital after police suspect he was shot in the head.
The 33-year-old arrived at his home just before 6am and collapsed from his injury, police believe.
Police are on the scene in Williams Road investigating the possible shooting.
The man is in a stable condition after being put into an induced coma at The Alfred hospital.
There is no one in custody and police are unsure where the man was when he received the injury.
