VCE students across Maribyrnong and Hobsons Bay finally got their ATAR results this week.

There were 65,000 VCE and VCAL students across Victoria, and their anxious wait was officially over on December 16.

In 2021, 50,723 students will graduate with their VCE, which is a completion rate of 98 per cent of students.

A total of 13,935 students received at least one study score of 40 or more out of 50.

Minister for Education James Merlino said the class of 2021 is particularly inspiring considering they completed their final two years of school during a pandemic.

“I thank teachers, school staff and families, whose support through the last two, difficult years has played a huge role in the success of this year’s VCE and VCAL students,” he said.

“Whether it’s a university course, TAFE, an apprenticeship or getting straight into the workforce, I wish our Year 12s the very best with whatever comes next after a fun and relaxing summer break.”
