Hobsons Bay council is on track to achieve similar or better performance results compared to the same period of the last financial year, a new report revealed.

Council’s half-year performance progress was detailed in a second quarter report that was discussed at the most recent council meeting on February 8.

Each financial year, the council’s performance is measured against the progress initiatives and indicators in the Local Government Performance Reporting Framework (LGPRF).

The second quarter report provides updates on how council is progressing on both these measures during the period July 1 to December 30 2021.

To date, council has completed three out of 28 initiatives nominated to help support the delivery of Council Plan 2021/25.

The initiatives include upgrading Paine Reserve as a part of their Better Places program, implementing a new learning management system and carrying out the COVID-19 Recovery Support program.

The LGPRF second quarter results show that council will likely achieve better or similar results than the same period a year ago in 28 out of the 52 reportable indicators. In order to achieve similar results, council will need to improve on 24 of the indicators.

Three initiatives are currently in the planning stage and include the Footpath Renewal Program, the Community Learning and Service Centres Strategy and the Property Strategy. The remaining 21 projects are currently progressing on plan.
